Description

I had high hopes of catching a tail but it wasn't to be. I think I did everything right. Lots of short exposures and all stacked using Harry's comet stacking tutorial. Either I did something wrong or the tail is now just too dim for my equipment and skill to pick up. I'll catch it on the next time round in a million years or so.

C/2013 US10 (Catalina) is an Oort cloud comet discovered on 31 October 2013 by the Catalina Sky Survey at an apparent magnitude of 19 using a 0.68-meter (27 in) Schmidt–Cassegrain telescope. As of September 2015 the comet is around apparent magnitude 6.
