Description

Taken during an unexpectedly clear night, temperature was 2-3 Deg C. Took around 60x 91 sec exposures, but lost a lot of detail towards the end due to dew, I think. Flicking through the images I can see the histogram peak moving towards the left edge for the last 30 or so images. Strangely this seems to be after a meridian flip. I stopped after about 30 shots because I was concerned that the focuser has slipped. I repositioned to Capella and checked focus using a bahtinov mask, but it turned out to look OK. When repositioning to M1 the mount moved to the east side of the mount. All subsequent images looked poor. I can only assume it was due related, but not sure why after this it changed. I just received a light panel for flats, but managed to move the focusses by accident before getting a chance to use it, so no flats. Since this is fairly cropped, vignetting shouldn't matter anyway. Still lots to learn.

Processed using Nebulosity 4 on Mac. I subtracted the bias from the darks, stacked the bias subtracted darks, then applied these and stacked bias to the lights.
