Description

Hanny's Voorwerp is a cosmic cloud, standing 45,000-75,000 lightyears in front of extinguished quasar IC2497 in Leo Minor. The cloud is ionized by the radiation from the quasar. This object was found by Dutch teacher Hanny van Arkel.
