Description

IC443, also known as the Jellyfish Nebula and Sharpless 248, is a galactic supernova remnant in the constellation Gemini. Also visible the blue reflection nebula VdB 75 and the IC444 (SH2-249).
This is a total of 22hours exposure in SHO elaborated then with Hubble Palette colors. For this subject I wanted a starless version as this emphasizes the beauty of the nebula but a complete starless image looses a lot of image details. I so de-emphasizes the stars wih two very well known tecniques and then I used a my simple tecnique that is very efficient to show stars less prominent without cancelling them as in a starless version.
The result so is more pleasant and real.
