Description

Imaged between targets on a disastrous night as an afterthought, it was my only target that turned out nicely. Plate solving was off, dew heaters failed, flats were gathered incorrectly, but I managed around 10 decent frames of luminance and 5 or 6 color frames binned. I'll revisit this area for sure.

From Wiki: Markarian's Chain is a stretch of galaxies that forms part of the Virgo Cluster. It is called a chain because, when viewed from Earth, the galaxies lie along a smoothly curved line. It was named after the Armenian astrophysicist, B. E. Markarian, who discovered their common motion in the early 1960s.
