Description

Abell 1060

Abell 1060 is a rich galaxy cluster in Hydra. It is known also as the Hydra I cluster and is around 54 Mpc from us. The large elliptical galaxy near the centre is NGC 3311. Its a relatively young cluster as is indicated by the high proportion of spiral galaxies. A study in 1982 identified around 5,500 galaxies in this field.

I love this field but its challenging to deal with the bright stars to the right and left of centre
