Description

The Pinwheel Galaxy (M 101) is a spiral galaxy located in constellation of Ursa Major. To a distance of 27 millions light-years is one of near galaxies bigger (twice that our Milky Way) wich is extendend with a aparent diameter nearly moon size, but its dispersed arms do that only can be observed through powerful telescopes. Between others, is accompanied by galaxies NGC 5422 (at top left), NGC 5473 (at left), NGC 5485 and NGC5486 (at bottom left), NGC 5477 (at bottom) and NGC 5474 (at bottom right).
