Description

I tried a new processing with my recent dataset. First, I used superpixels in DSS to get the most out of the 40 minutes. Then, I prepared two single images: One luminance version, stretched to the limit in Fitswork and one RGB version, only slightly stretched in Fitswork (no IFN visible).

Then I put both versions into PS and removed the stars in the luminance version to get an image with only galaxies and IFN. This layer was blended into the RGB one.

This animation shows the first RGB version without IFN and the final result with some color adjustments.

NOTE: I know that I need a lot more exposure and the images have lots of artifacts. Definitely my plan for the next clear night! This is just a feasibility study!

Oh, and thanks to Marcus Wögerer for the idea!
