Description

I tried out my new ZWO ADC (Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector) for the first time last night, and something about last night, perhaps the ADC, and/or perhaps also some half decent seeing (I'm not a good judge of that), has given me by far the best images I've been able to get of this gem so far.

Captured with Celestron AVX mount and 8 inch SCT, cheap x1.5 barlow, ZWO ADC, ZWO ASI120MC (Colour) CMOS camera. 60 second avi's captured with Firecapture using its "planet auto align" feature that keeps the planet still and centered in the AVI. Stacked in Autostakkert 2. Processed with Pixinsight, and finally denoising with the "NeatImage" plugin in Photoshop Elements.

Frame exposure times were 10.2 ms, and I was capturing at about 58 fps, with an ROI selected.
