Description

The Crescent Nebula is usually presented in a reddish blend. Using bicolour narrowband, you can still get that red colour. But I wanted to show it differently. Being new to Pixinsight, I played around with pixelmath. Using the tutorial from LightVortexAstronomy, I found one of the combinations interesting, which used Steve Cannistra's synthetic green combination.

This is my first success with Pixinsight. My processing skills need some work. I.e., the stars with diffraction spikes look too washed out. But one thing is for sure, I love the colour.

EDIT: Revision 1, the colours on the spiked stars are better~ish... Less washed out, at least

Not sure why the revision couldn't be platesolved.
