Description

The Aurora Borealis at Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon. Just above the horizon on the right, you can see a red glow. That red glow isn’t part of the aurora, it is actually the glow from an active volcano!! This was a great night for the aurora, and there were photographers from all over the world set up around the lake. This photo is also a frame from a timelapse I made that night that you can find on my Vimeo (twoghouls). Taken with a Canon 5D mk iii, 14mm Rokinon Lens, and Manfrotto Tripod/Head.
