Description

Henize 70 (also known as N70 or DEM301) in the southern constellation of Dorado, is a luminous “superbubble” of interstellar gas in the Large Magellanic Cloud, about 170,000 light-years from Earth. It is about 300 light-years in diameter, formed by energetic particles blown from the surface of hot massive Wolf-Rayet stars and supernova explosions, interacting with the interstellar medium.
