Description

Finally a break in the weather Sunday Night. This is the first light image that I captured with a Celestron C8 2032mm Telescope and a brand spanking new ASI-120MC Camera. Its a huge upgrade to my Celestron Solar System Imager (spc900nc) . You can see the dark mass of Syrtis Major, the Hellas Basin below it, the fainter elysium planitia, and the remnants of the southern polar ice cap. I am hoping it doesn't cloud up when we reach opposition.
