Description

This nebula is part of the Taurus Molecular Cloud. These giant clouds consist of cosmic dust and molecular gas. The clouds are dark, not very dense and cold. The inner dense part is cataloged as E.E.Barnard (#207). The clouds with time can form into small dense parts called bok globules where new stars are formed and their planets formed as well from these gaseous interactions.

This was imaged on 11-06-15 using 94 sub-exposures of 900 seconds each to bring out the details from LBN 777.

The data set was from Blue 17 900 second exposures

Green 17 900 second exposures

Red 17 900 second exposures

Luminance 43 900 second exposures

The data set was revisited after 9 months from experience gained learning PI on IP4AP Warren Keller's tutorials and live classes. You can see the dramatic improvements from the before and after image. I hope someday I'll get an APOD as long as I keep improving it may be sooner than later.
