Description

Image taken in R-IR (642-750nm), it shows (not much recognizable) the Valles Marineris and the Lacus Solis (or "Eye of Mars") to its left.

Above the eye there are dark spots that should correspond to the Tharsis Montes, or at least two of them.

The apparent diameter was 15.5", way down from opposition, so the amount of detail shown in the image is appreciable.

Also, during those days (up to November 24th for sure) there was a big dust storm on Mars.
