Description

It will be interesting to see how much better the dark site in New Mexico will do on this one.

... well, I can see from Paddy's work on this one, and the NASA APOD, that from my backyard there is no hint of IFN. Heh! So much for my yellow-orange zone viewing.

-----------

Maybe not quite as pretty... but the crud down near the noise floor is real IFN. And that little blue smudge just beneath M81 is also real.

-----------

Carefully brought out more detail in M81. Tried to enhance the IFN, but there is so little to work with that not much accomplished.

------

Improve contrast of the IFN by deemphasizing high frequency component layers using MLT.

-------

Final rev - more work selectively stretching the IFN to make it more visible. This is about the limit of what I can see from my backyard on the outskirts of Tucson.

This image set also used my guider kicker to overcome the changing differential flexure in the system. Average ADU in each raw frame was around 15% of full well capacity. My wells fill up from sky background after 1/2 hour. (I hate to imagine what it would be without the LP filter...)
