Description

Deneb (Alpha Cygni) is the brightest star in the constellation Cygnus and it is one of the vertices of the Summer Triangle and forms the 'head' of the Northern Cross. A blue-white supergiant, Deneb is also one of the most luminous nearby stars. Close to the tail of the swan are The North American Nebula (NGC7000) and the Pelican Nebula (IC5070 and IC5067) H II emission nebulas with light young stars, evolving gas clouds, and molecular clouds filled with dark dust.

I was able to get out 2 nights in early May to image the Deneb region. Both nights had their difficulties with poor seeing due to high then clouds. In the end I got enough frames for my version of the North American Nebula and The Pelican Nebula. This was taken with my modified Canon T3i and 135mm lens at f/2.8
