Description

Arp 293 consists of a pair of interacting galaxies (NGC 6285 and NGC 6286) in the constellation Draco. NGC 6285 shines at magnitude 13.6 and spans 1.2 arcminutes, while NGC 6286 shines at magnitude 14.1 and spans 1.3 arcminutes. The oddly shaped galaxy at the upper right is PGC 59348 (mag. 15.1), and the edge-on galaxy at lower center is PGC 59333.

I would have liked to spend more integration time on this shot and add some color. However, I recently changed the configuration of my optical train a bit, so combining the data might be difficult. I think I'm going to move on to the next subject rather than risking it.
