One problem with the mobile triple setup is the long assebling/focusing time, and when the sequences are running, there is no possibility to adjust anything on one of the setups, without pausing all 3 sequences. So therefore a good focussing system is really a big advantage and refocussing is possible without pausing the other sequences.
One of the original focuser was broken so I had to replace it. I decided to replace both, because many problems i had with the old motor focus on both. Sometimes they dont work, and both were not really precise, autofocus just worked ok. Lost a lot of time with fixing and optimizing.
So I decided to an moonlite and a starlight focuser with focus motors but I was a little unsure if they are really so much better for this price....
First light was really awsome... no driver problems, plug in and start, the auto focus curve is really perfect on both, not comparable to the old ones. Exceptional precision when backlash is correctly set and smooth, precisely moving. Now i know it, if it was worth...
