Description

The Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992) is a beautiful supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus. It is part of a much larger region of ionized gas.

This image represents my very first attempt at a SHO (Hubble Palette) image combined with RGB data.

RGB data was captured using a modified Canon Rebel T3i from Courtright Reservoir in May 2014. Narrowband data was captured from my backyard using a QSI 683wsg-8 in June and July of 2016.

The narrowband data was assigned in the Hubble Palette (Red for Sulfur-II, Green for Hydrogen-Alpha, and Blue for Oxygen-III). This will likely not be my final version of this image.
