Description

Super Nova Remnant G082.2+05.3. This is an exceptionally complex area centered at about 20h19m +45d30m east of Deneb in the constellation of Cygnus, and is part of the Cygnux X complex. The SNR is an avocado shaped object near the center 1/3 of the image. It is reported as a radio source but with optical spectra that indicate an Optical signature. There are many wispy shock fronts from the Super Nova event in this HAlpha image. The object is roughly 95X65 minutes of arc.

The MONOchrome image is ~60% crop of HAlpha data taken over several nights.

The revised color version combines (4) Narrow band filters:

(13) 1200 second exposures for each

Cyan ( OIII ),

Green ( HAlpha ),

Red ( NII + SII ).
