Description

This photo is my first attempt to use HDR (high dynamic range) integration in PI to avoid having saturated stars. I used 3x60s subs to combine with the 10x600s subs. It worked OK and this method can be used to do photometry on bright stars or to avoid saturated areas of extended objects.

Pre-processing done in Pixinsight :
- overscan area offset correction
- bias correction
- flat correction
- hot pixel correction
- debayer
- registration
- stack
Processing done in Pixinsight :
- color calibration using stars
- slight color sat
- no residual sky background substraction due to extendeur nebulae
- converted to non linear image

Final image :
- jpeg calibration done in Mac Photo
