Description

6 x 600s each for RGB, and 5x 600s for L. Finally some decent nights in a row, and without moonlight!

I have to add more frames to reduce the noise, maybe tonight night! All images were automatically acquired using CCDAP5 while I was sleeping :-)

The second version is less yellow. This galaxy is behind a lot of dust, so it appears more yellow/reddish. In the first version I corrected for colour on the field stars (of our own galaxy) around it, the second version is a combination of this image, and an image colour corrected on the galaxy disk.

The next night I made 23 additional frames, now it is 8 x 600s each for RGB and 22 x 600s for L for a total of 7.7 hours. This final version is the one I like best!
