Description

Shot over 2 nights (Friday and Saturday) over Labor Day weekend. I was pleased that I didn't need to create this as a mosaic. I was able to get just about all of it in a single shot. So I cropped very little and just rotated 90 degrees.

I was a little worried because I noticed that most all of the frames were maxing out at 65535, and I found that some of the bigger stars were the cause. Passing the mouse over them, I could see they were listed as 65535, so I am afraid maybe my gain is set too high? I have never changed it since I first setup the camera, so I'm not sure what is going on here. But still, the image came out very nicely. Maybe some of those bigger stars are supposed to be more blue or yellow, and maybe instead they are coming out pure white because the gain is set too high??? Not sure.

Also had some weirdness with Sequence Gen Pro. I found that the image history was not showing the HFR for the frames I was collecting. Instead, it showed zero for the number of stars found and the HFR for the image. I suspect it has something to do with the new settings they added in the last update, specifically the one that tells the software what size in pixels the software should try to read in determining what is a star and what is noise (i.e. hot pixels). Its always something.
