Description

The traditional image of the Cat's Eye planetary nebula is contained in the over exposed central disk of this image. Even at 2475mm focal length, the center detail is tough to get. However, the expanding shell of gas is pretty unique in its structure. Taken on a night of less than great seeing, I decided to post it as is.

RGB only; 2x2 binning; 600 sec subs.
