Description

The Wizard Nebula, my first fully complete narrow band tri-channel blend with data from the ASI1600. This image was created from high gain, short exposure data, and is overall a relatively short integration for narrow band. The exposure lengths were a mere 90 seconds for all three channels. Total integration acquired for each channel was about 2 hours each...however, only the full two hours was used to create an Ha channel that was used as luminance. I stuck with my original test integrations for the color channels, which ended up being very short integrations indeed:

Ha: 16x90s - 24m

OIII: 27x90s - 40.5m

SII: 35x90s - 52.5m

I guess I'm just being lazy at the moment, but I'd already achieved the two color palettes I wanted, and did not want to go through the full workflow from the very beginning (calibration) again to recreate them. Maybe in the future when I am less lazy, I'll integrate the full two hours for the other two channels and see if I can eek out more detail and/or color contrast.

Anyway, pretty satisfied at the moment with what's possible with extremely short integrations with this camera! I wouldn't call it top class, certainly better can be achieved with more integration, but for less than four hours of total exposure, I'm pretty happy.
