Description

Beautiful Nebulosity surronds this area in Cygnus. Some of the most notable objects are NGC 7000 - the North America Nebula and Pelican Nebula, near the star Deneb; Butterfly and Cresent Nebula (barely in the frame), near Sadr.

This northern contellation never rises much above the horizon from here, so the low altitude (~25 º) is further challenging in this already challenging hobby: LP gradients (still visible despite my efforts, from top left to bottom right); and some clouds lowered contrast. Nevertheless, I was quite surprised with the amount of nebulosity that came through this unmodded camera with relatively short integration time. What do you think?

Taken from Rural Skies (Bortle 3-4; NELM ~6.2; SQM ~21.4*calculated), from Cristina, MG, Brazil (22ºS latitude).

Date and Time: July 31st, 2016, at 00h (UTC-3, start of capture)

Camera: Unmodded Canon T5/1200D, at ISO 1600

Lens: Nikon Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 AI Version, operated at f/4.0

Mount: Sky-Watcher HEQ5, tracking, controlled with EQASCOM, unguided

Exposure Detail: 17x240s (total 68min)

*Revision -B- is a more agressively stretched and star shrinked version. The image shows the nebulosity better, but is borderline overcooked to me. Original is still Final, but I also uploaded this other version. What do you think?*
