Description

The North America Nebula NGC 7000 (on half left of the image) and Pelican Nebula IC 5070 (on right near out of field) are in fact the same interestellar cloud of ionized hydrogen into constellation Cygnus. But between the Earth and this nebula complex lies the dark absortion cloud LDN 935 which partly covers these and cuts its aspect, doing the characteristic shape of Gulf of Mexico and dividing North America and Pelican. Perhaps you do not see again these nebulas with same perspective.
