Description

Here is my version of NGC 7000 depicting various tentacle structures throughout the valley and ridges of the image in the deep dark blue pockets.

This is from 25 hours of data combined at the deep transparent sky's in Rowe New Mexico.

Second revision depicts color mixing in Photoshop CC. I realize there are many different pallets to choose from and I may actually try another revision or may keep this one. I could have brought out much more light blue, but prefer this subtle shade of blue with red

Third revision properly assigned SHO in post processing and employed color mixing in Photoshop CC to control green in Ha.

I've gone back to my older data since I've learned much more in Pixinsight and use PI exclusively as my imaging processing now. I used the AIP SHO script in Pixinsight and in the mix tried to keep Ha down to 10% of green channel.

I must confess I went back to this image and realized I can go into Photoshop CC as well and slightly change the hue setting in the green palette only and presto I was able to bring the image back into its blue hue, but the only problem was it then increased the green in the outliner areas of the image. I corrected this by going back into PI and used the SCNR at 1.000 and this did the trick. I also went into Photoshop CC in raw mode and increased the detail and shadows, but kept saturation down. As a final step I used Neil Carboni's actions for contrast enhancements.
