I received my 8 inch f/4 ONTC telescope from Telescope Service in Germany this week - it is a beautiful scope!

This is a first light using an ASI1600MM-Cool camera and a Baader 7nm H-alpha filter. I wasn't guiding so I used 15 second exposures and gain=225.

The first revision is a stack of 100 x 15s frames using the full frame.

The second revision is a stack of 300 x 15s frames using a ROI around M27 to reduce the disk space and computing time needed to process the frames. The calibration frames worked perfected on the ROI so this is a technique I'll use for smaller objects in the future.

Overall for a first engineering test of this scope I'm very pleased.
