Description

This is a blink image of SN1572 - Tycho's SNR - registered with the more famous X-ray image from Chandra (NASA/CXC/SAO)

The SNR itself is not visible in Ha, however, a few Ha regions being shocked by the 1572 supernova are clearly visible, and correspond to knots and shock fronts that have been studied by astronomers using large instruments at Kitt Peak and elsewhere.

The image is a small crop from a large image captured with a Tak E-160 and is comprised of over 9 hours Ha and some O3 for star color. No nebulosity was detected in the O3, as well as S2.

I have not seen amateur images of this elsewhere.
