    Description

    This is my first deep integration with the ASI1600MM-Cool. The image started out as a 7-hour total integration, 4h Ha and 3h OIII. The image has recently been updated to a 24-hour total integration, with 12h in both Ha and OIII.

    Further integration in both channels has continued to reveal fainter fine structural details in the region of space surrounding the primary SNR structure of CTB-1. These outer faint structures exhibit in both Ha as well as OIII. Many outer structures exhibit only in OIII as well, which has me quite intrigued, as the deeper I go, the more structure there seems to be. In particular are structures just over the "stem" of the CTB-1 object, as well as what appears to be an enveloping shell around the Ha structures along the right edge of the image (a mosaic is apparently in order to discover more about those structures.)

    Due to the increasing prevalence of faint filamentary Oxygen gas structures, I am continuing to integrate data for that channel. Current target is to get 24h OIII, and 16h Ha. As a long-term stretch goal, I may aim for 36-48h of OIII, to see how deep the rabbit hole goes. ;)
