Description

Sh2-113 Sh2-114 Cygnus

A complex of predominantly hydrogen emission with some OIII and some SII and fine filament structure within the Sharpless objects. The structures will show nicely in images from larger scopes.

To me this looks like the aftermath of star formation where hydrogen clouds are being eroded by stellar winds from energetic young stars.

To the left of the image is the southern tip of Sh2-119.

The image is centered roughly at 21h20m +39d23m North is left.
