Description

Raw SHO frames courtesy of Deep Sky West Remote Observatory in New Mexico, USA. (deepskywest.com) Data obtained with FSQ 106EDXiii / QSI683wsg / Lodestar / Paramount MyT.

25 hrs total integration (17x1800s H, 16x1800s O, 16x1800s S, 15x180s RGB).

Image was formed from my backyard RGB data, taken from an Atik 490 OSC, and luminance derived from DSW SHO frames. The DSW data are superb in terms of exposure depth and high quality seeing resolution, compared to my backyard seeing just outside of Tucson in a Yellow/Orange zone. The sky background at DSW is about 16 times fainter than my location, and its seeing is at least 4 times better.

Differences between our respective apertures and F-ratios makes the RGB data about equally deep in exposure to the SHO data obtained at a smaller aperture and higher F-number. The image scales were different, and adjusted / aligned in PixInsight with Star Registration. Image scale is approximately 1.8 arcsec / pixel here.
