Description

NGC 1360, also known as the Robin's Egg Nebula, is a planetary nebula in the constellation of Fornax.

Not my usual sort of target but with the new Moon I decided to switch back to RGB for awhile. It would probably have looked better in narrowband given the high concentration of Oiii.

This was shot with the ASI1600MM-C through my 10"f5 imaging newt as I was trying to use its focla length to get in close on what is a small ojbject. Mag 9.4 I think.

Image consists of 36 x 60" Red subs, 33 x 60" Green, 38 x 60" Blue. It does need more time to bring out the red ejecta matter shown in some very good images. Very little red showed up in my attempt.
