Description

Barnard 147 is a dark nebula in Cygnus near the open cluster NGC 6781. It is reminiscent of a sea serpent or perhaps a dragon. This image was produced with hydrogen alpha as luminance.

The "A" revision had the Ha channel also mapped to red, plus normal blue and green subs for color, to create an "HHGB" image. The result is intense red color in the H-alpha nebulosity.

The "B" revision has H for luminance, and RGB for color, producing a muddy pink color in the H-alpha nebulosity. I did a much better job processing the stars in the "B" revision.
