Raspberry Pi + cam on Dobson for easy initial alignment

Description

I was looking for a device to support the initial star alignment on my 12" Dobson Telescope.

Sometimes it is very akward to reach and view the finder scope,

especially when reference stars are close to zenit.

The Raspberry Pi Cam is sensitive enough to capture reference stars up to 6 mag in real time.

Combined with a small TFT display this provides a lightweight ( and cheap) solution

which can be mounted directly on the dobson struts.

A) main cam image (ZWO ASI 120 MC ) real time video on PC

B) close up Raspberry pi real time finder cam image

C) Raspberry pi cam mounted on finder scope

P.S. : I removed the infrared filter of the Pi cam for improved sensitivity.
