Description

On the left of the image is an image taken with the William Optics "Star" 71 as is, no modifications. In the lower right hand corner is a crop of the brighter stars, showing the "Iron Cross" artifact.

On the right side is an image taken with the Plastic "mask" available from CatchingtheCosmos.com, and in the lower right is a cropped/close up of the stars showing a dramatic improvement.

Both images are comprised of about a half-dozen H-alpha subs taken with an Atik One 6mp camera. The filter is a Baader 7nm H-alpha.

Images are stacked and calibrated in MaximDL and stretched. No other processing.
