Description

The Rosette Nebula, in between five-minute rain showers from an apparently cloudless sky. Approximately 5,000 light years distant and 120-130 light years across, this combination of an HII emission nebula and an open cluster can be filed in the category of "astronomical objects that actually look like what they're named after".
