Description

Gravitationally lensed quasar (arrowed) from my terrace:

«...the quasar is a single object, and (..) intervening galaxy (..)

act as a gravitational lens, splitting the distant quasar into two

separate images. This notion that a massive body could bend the light from

a more distant object was predicted by Albert Einstein (..) in 1916»
