Description

Trying to lessen a chromatic aberration problem with the Canon 200mm f/2.8 lens, I separated the stars from the nebulosity, and processed the two separately. This uses the color map from the Hubble palette of SHO. During stacking in Deep Sky Stacker I used drizzle to get better resolution. The starless subframes were created in Straton. I did my RGB separation and color synthesis in Nebulosity. I layered the stars back on to the starless subframe, but weighted the stars subframe less to decrease the chromatic aberration and size of the stars, to emphasize the nebulosity.
