In this post processing version I used drizzle color synthesis in Deep Sky Stacker to try to get my resolution back. I find it surprising how much the choice of color synthesis algorithm affects detail, hue and saturation. I created both starless and star subframes by separating the RGB into individual subframes. The stars only subframes used only the UHC captured data, the RGB were separated out, and then recombined with R as R, R as G, and 50% G as B. The recombined stars subframe was then converted to monochromatic, and used as a synthetic L subframe which was layered back onto the starless subframe. Most of the chromatic aberrations were hidden away.
