Description

The Hyades are the closest open star cluster to Earth, and the brightest stars plus the much closer red giant Aldebaran form a triangular shape which makes up the head of the constellation of Taurus, the Bull.

In this image I have tried to capture the faint glow of vast clouds of gas and dust which span the empty space between the stars. Space may be huge, but it is not empty. This nebula is very difficult to capture however, and I'm not completely certain what is nebula and what is simply noise and other artefacts of the capture process.
