Description

NGC 1624 is an open cluster in the constellation Perseus surrounded by the emission nebula Sharpless 2-212. The cluster spans about 3.0 arcminutes, and its brightest members are of 12th magnitude.

This is a HOO narrowband image composed with H-alpha mapped to the red channel and OIII mapped to the green and blue channels. A synthetic luminance channel was created by combining all frames.
