Description

IC 405 (also known as the Flaming Star Nebula, SH 2-229, or Caldwell 31) is an emission/reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga, surrounding (and illuminated by) the bluish star AE Aurigae.

January 2017 was an incredibly cloudy period in the Northeast and around the entire United States, making this a real challenge to complete.
