Description

DWB-111 Propeller Nebula is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus. The Propeller Nebula is actually part of a much larger nebular complex which are common in this area of the sky. The Propeller Nebula is comprised of Ha and some SII very little OIII is available. There is very little known about this object, distance to this object or the source of excitation is unknown.

Imaged in September-October, 2016

Orion ED80T CF Triplet Apochromatic Refractor with Astro-Tech AT2FF field flattener, Orion Atlas with EQMOD, guided - 50 mm finderscope, f3.2/ QHY 5L-II, Canon 1100D, full mod, cooled

The stack of 33 x 5 min subs taken through a UHC filter from not very dark location (lake Nockamixon, PA) was used as a LUM layer. Another stack of 14 x 5 min not filtered subs taken from BMVO was used as a COLOR layer. All subs were taken with Canon T3. This is the first time I used a real LRGB technique. I expected that it would be more easy to get the right star's color this way. UHC filter screws up color pretty much and I always struggled with it.
