Description

Bad weather. Processing older pictures found on the hard drive

In Cepheus and Cygnus constellation, you will find the Fireworks Galaxy, laying 22 million light-year away. NGC6946 is obscured by interstellar matter, within the galactic plane. NGC6946 is a third the size of our Milky way.

The Star cluster at the bottom right is NGC 6939, containing ~100 stars. It spreads across 7 arcmin of sky and lays ~4000 light years from us.

The photo deserved a better focus - next time maybe!
