Description

Inspired by another amateur I wanted to image the field of NGC 1961/Arp 184. This was also to test my equipment as I'm heading for astro camp and the set up needs to work perfectly, which of course it does not, yet :-). New to the set up is a Motorfocus from Lacerta. With APT it works very well!
32x300s @ bin 1x1 Lum, RGB each 20x180s @ bin 2x2.
I also used the TS 2.5" full format flattener. However, a quick test without it showed, that it is not necessary with the small chip and the LZOS 123.
Version A: initial result using, PI for image preprocessing. Startools for image processing. Finalized in PI and PS with some curves.
Version B: as Version A, but with unsharp mask applied.
Version C: fully processing using PI.
I like the detail of version A&B of the galaxy. However, colors and star shape turned out better in version C.
