Description

Captured on a recent trip in Barreal, a small village in the argentinean Andes at 1700m altitude, near Cerro Mercedario and Cerro Aconcagua. A sky and landscape like in Atacama desert. While the SMC is not as spectacular as is bigger sister, there are a lot of brighter patches seen even in a binocular, and the great globular cluster NGC104 (47 Tucanae) nearby is resolved here even at 85mm focal length - 2nd brightest only surpassed by Omega Centauri. Hallmarks of the deep southern sky.

Eos6da at Iso800 and Tamron 85mm at f/2.2.
