New finder/guider rig, Mapleton Lateral Observatory (or, We Must be Crazy to Do This!)

Description

I've replaced my ST80 guide scope with a 9x50 finder to save weight on the mount. This arrangement appears to work very well; my guiding performance last night, my first night out with it, was as good as I've ever achieved so I have high hopes for improving. But I must be crazy to be out doing this in sub-zero weather! (Actually I was only out long enough to find my target; after that I moved inside and monitored the session via a USB repeater cable.)
